Can a Wi-Fi repeater or mesh network cause wobie box connection problems?

Using a Wi-Fi repeater or mesh network and having trouble with your wobie box? Here are common causes and what to check.

1. Signal strength

A weak signal can interrupt the connection. Check the signal between the router, repeater and wobie box. Position the repeater where it receives a strong signal and can pass it on.

2. Frequency band

Make sure the repeater offers the 2.4 GHz band used by the wobie box. You could create a separate 2.4 GHz guest network. Connect your phone to it too, so Spotify Connect works properly.

3. Network name and password

Check the Wi-Fi network name (SSID) and password. Incorrect details can prevent the wobie box from connecting.

4. Firmware updates

Check that your repeater's firmware is up to date. An older version can affect the connection.

5. Security settings

Check that the repeater and wobie box use compatible encryption, such as WPA2.
