How to test your wobie box using a phone hotspot

If your wobie box can't connect to home Wi-Fi, a phone hotspot can help you check whether network settings are the cause. Use a hotspot only for a short test, as Spotify streaming can use a lot of mobile data.

Here's how:

Phone 1 🛜 (hotspot):

• Turn on mobile data.
• Enable the hotspot in iOS or Android settings and choose WPA2 security. ⚠️ Some iOS devices may use WPA2/WPA3 by default; switch to WPA2.

Phone 2 📱 (wobie fav):

• Connect phone 2 to phone 1's hotspot over Wi-Fi.
• Open wobie fav on phone 2 and start setup.
• Choose phone 1's hotspot when asked to select Wi-Fi.
• Enter its password, found in phone 1's hotspot settings.

After the test, reconnect the wobie box to home Wi-Fi to avoid using mobile data.
