Instructions on battery disposal

In connection with the sale of batteries or the delivery of devices containing batteries, we are obliged to inform you of the following the following:

Batteries must not be disposed of with household waste.

You can either return used batteries that we carry or have carried as new batteries to us at your own expense or return them free of charge to our dispatch warehouse (dispatch address). Alternatively, you can return the batteries to local collection points.

As the end user, you are legally obliged to return used batteries so that they can be recycled or disposed of properly.

Used batteries may contain harmful substances that can damage the environment or your health if they are not stored or disposed of properly. However, batteries also contain important raw materials such as iron, zinc, manganese or nickel and can be recycled.

The symbols shown on the batteries have the following meaning:

The symbol of the crossed-out dustbin means that the battery must not be disposed of with household waste.

For batteries that contain a certain amount of lead, cadmium or mercury, the following additions under the symbol with the crossed-out dustbin indicate the respective harmful substances:

Pb = battery contains more than 0.004% lead by mass
Cd = battery contains more than 0.002% cadmium by mass
Hg = battery contains more than 0.0005% mercury by mass

Information on the costs included in accordance with Article 56(4) of the EU Battery Regulation (Regulation 2023/1542) can be found at the "Battery-Return" initiative.
