A pitch effect may be the cause if you're hearing altered voices. It can occur with playback speed or network connection issues. Try these checks.
1. Check Spotify's playback settings
- Turn off Crossfade: In Spotify's settings, turn off Crossfade (Settings > Playback > Crossfade).
- Adjust audio quality: Set Wi-Fi streaming quality to ‘Automatic’ (Settings > Audio quality). You can also try lowering it.
- Clear the cache: Clear Spotify's cache and check that you have the latest app version.
2. Check your network
- Network delays: Check whether other devices are putting a heavy load on Wi-Fi. If possible, create a separate 2.4 GHz guest network and connect both the wobie box and your phone to it. Your phone should be on the same Wi-Fi network when you set up the wobie box or assign rainbow buttons.
- Interference: Bluetooth devices, microwaves and neighbouring Wi-Fi networks can interfere even when the speaker is close to the router.
- Restart the router: Unplug it for three to five minutes. This may clear temporary errors and help it choose a less congested Wi-Fi channel.
- Router firmware: Check for an update, which may improve connection stability.
